History van Manderley Fashion B.V.

Company

The history of Manderley Fashion B.V. began in 1945, when Johan Morsman founded Confectiefabriek Morsman N.V. and established himself at a school in Denekamp. Unfortunately, the business was destroyed by fire in 1950. One year later, new premises were acquired in the Molenstraat in Tubbergen. This was the perfect location, because the land was cheap, and there were enough hard-working girls who wanted to work in clothing manufacture. In 1988 the name was changed to Manderley Fashion B.V., a more international sounding name. Manderley Fashion B.V. moved to Enschede in 1999 and established itself in the Eerste Stegge in Ootmarsum.

Label and Collection

The brand name, Manderley, is an authentic, quality brand name in mens coats and jackets. In the early years the enterprise concentrated on the production of raincoats. Because the raincoat is a typically English product, the brand name was changed to MANDERLEY in 1947, named for the stately home Manderley in the book "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier.

Since then, many traditional raincoats have been sold under the name of Manderley. Fashion began to play an ever more important role in the 1960s. Inspiration from fashion capitals such as Paris, London and Florence was translated by the resident designers into even broader collections of coats, and later they included jackets as well.

Protection against all possible weather was another aspect that began to play an important role. Currently, Manderley presents a complete collection of weather protective coats and jackets for both the retail and the corporate identity market. More than 60 years after the introduction to the market, Manderley has grown to become a successful and modern brand name with its own identity. The age-old tradition, innovation, customer-oriented thinking, quality and fashionable aspects stand as a guarantee for authentic and reliable products.
